We nurture individuals & groups through custom interdisciplinary education, residency & internship programs. With our three pillars of interest, agriculture, design & education, we combine the traditional culture & knowledge of Ghana with their contemporary developments for a rich dialogue resulting in projects & products.

Whether you are a professional artist, designer or educator looking for time to develop your work or a school hoping to enlighten your students within West Africa’s diverse cultural experiences, we are happy to collaborate on a plan for your stay at the institute.

PROGRAMS

LITERACY CURRICULUM

The Institute has developed a phonics-based literacy curriculum to address challenges around literacy and critical thinking in local schools.

TEACHER TRAINING

We aim to empower teachers to look at the natural and recycled materials in their communities to develop their own teaching materials.

ASAASE CLUB

The Asaase Club is based around interaction with the environment, fueled by a reward system using Adinkra Symbol badges of honor.

MAKERS WORKSHOP

The Institute uses the forum of the Maker’s Workshop to work directly with teachers from across Ghana through hands on learning activities.
